2012 Jingmai Ripe Puerh Tea:
Tea is a popular beverage worldwide, it is made by drying teas of the Camellia sinensis plant. Pu-erh is a type of tea that is aged, packed into bricks/cakes and aged in order to produce a more complex flavor profile over time. Pu-erh, or pu’er, can be processed in one of two ways ripe (“Shou”) or raw (“Sheng”). Traditionally, it is taken for digestion, energy boosting properties, mood enhancement and weight reduction. Pu-erh contains ~60mg of caffeine as compared to coffee which contains ~112mg of caffeine. However, tea contains theophylline, l-theanine and theobromine which creates a more balanced, stimulating effect as compared to coffee. The giddy energy that it creates is known as the cha qi or “tea energy”. Indulge in the rich, complex flavors of our Premium Ripe Pu-erh Tea, a testament to timeless elegance and unparalleled craftsmanship.
